We are a volunteer organization that uses basketball to develop respect, teamwork, accountability, dedication, and hustle.

OUR CULTURE

…is built on respect. Respect for the game. Respect for coaches. Respect for referees. Respect for opposing players. Respect for teammates. Respect for the hard-work and dedication required to excel. Respect for ourselves. We are parent-driven and volunteer coaches are required.

PLAYERS

…show respect by arriving on time for practice and games; by always working hard and hustling; by listening to coaches, owning up to their mistakes, and being willing to learn; by never arguing with referees, coaches, teammates, or opponents; by always having a good attitude; and by having fun. If a player fails to show respect in any of these ways, their playing time will be affected until they choose to change their behavior.

PARENTS

…show respect by ensuring their kids arrive on time for practices and games; by never arguing with referees, other parents, or coaches from the sidelines; by only offering positive encouragement to players during games; by respecting the decisions of coaches; and by addressing any concerns privately with coaches, in a respectful and constructive manner.

COACHES

…show respect by using their words and actions to empower and uplift each player; by never using shame or fear or threats as a coaching tactic; by using each mistake as a teaching moment; by never criticizing players, referees, or other coaches; by encouraging players to reach their individual potential by focusing on the fundamentals of teamwork, leadership, and hard work.

As players, coaches, and parents, we won’t stress over things we can’t control: mistakes by referees; the skill level of other teams; taunting by opponents; injuries or illnesses that affect our roster.

We only focus on things we control:

  • Having fun

  • Respecting other players, coaches, and referees

  • Getting back up

  • Teamwork

  • Celebrating improvement
